Went to this place for the first time yesterday and went back with my wife today to try more of the menu. It's really a great spot. The food is clearly a point of pride here and you can tell they really care about every aspect of a dish. The atmosphere is kind of stealing the show though. It's in an old 1830sish farmhouse, wood floors, original brick with a bright airy feel. The "dining room" is basically the old living/dining/bedrooms with unique chairs and tables. Outside seating(where we sat)is on an elevated deck next to the garden and feels very relaxing. Our server(Sarah I believe) was very pleasant, attentive, and accurate. The coffee is great. The crepes are some of the most authentic I've had inside the united states. They have both sweet and savory which is a bit unusual here as well. Eggs were cooked perfecty as requested. Tldr: go try this place! We will be back.
Came for a gathering. Food is amazing. Fantastic crepe. Feels like a French cottage/village, as if I've come for a Europe trip. Awesome place for brunch or lunch. Would aim to share with a group. FYI the ice tea has a strong unique flavor, not a usual ice tea. It was strong and bitter at first, but I came to like it over time. Went well with food. The place is kids-friendly and there is parking in the rear. Would love to come again .
Second visit here with my lady, and somehow we ended up sitting in the same spot as our first visit. The food was just as delicious as we remembered: fresh, flavorful, and clearly prepared with care. Again, the tea was perfect - smooth, perfectly steeped, and completed the meal. It is an awesome place to unwind after a morning hike, as it has a calm and inviting atmosphere. You will find the staff to be very courteous without being intrusive. It’s got that small-town comfort with outstanding food. Definitely one of those spots that gets better every time you go.
Interesting lunch plates with lots of flavor “that’s life” at C’est La Vie. Milli has put together a fun and relaxed atmosphere in this old house. Sandra had French onion soup and I had Croquettes Monsieur and house potatoes, all served with a smile by Alicia.
A quick getaway in the Spring, to this French based Bostro. The atmosphere provided a timeless effect & ambiance of imagined "Le Villages" in a province. The food matched the atmosphere * was well worth our time together..... Can't wait for a clear day to patio it! ( next to Northbourough Library).
Our first visit, our daughter loves it here and brought us for a birthday brunch. We arrived around 10:15 and had a table for 3 in 10-15 min. even though they estimated a 30 min wait so that was great. The food was great, made my own omelette. Except their bacon is pork belly, which I’m It a fan but my husband got it and said it was good. I got the sausage patties, they were delicious! Their home potatoes are red with grilled veggies, perfect. My only minuses were no milk alternatives, and the food was like warm when arrived. The place was busy and the service was good. Can get loud and a few bumps to your chair but didn’t really matter, it’s a lovely place. The bakery and coffee scents add to the ambiance. Recommend and we’ll be back when visiting the area.
Shockingly good. I had poached eggs on sweet potato mash with homemade grave lox and a cappuccino. My spouse had a double-decker french toast with cream cheese in between and the most delicious hot chocolate we had in a decade. The homemade lox was a dream; I think the best I had in my life - and I am from NYC, a place that prides itself for its lox. The hot chocolate was almost too rich/thick, but perfectly balanced in its mild sweetness. Who would have thought to find a place like this in Northborough!
Food: 4/5 Service: 5/5 Atmosphere: 4/5 Food Summary: The eggs Benedict was delicious. Wasn’t super psyched about the up charge for an English muffin, considering that that’s how I’ve always understood that and eggs Benedict comes. The prices of eggs lately isn’t helping either. So overall food was delicious, but the expense was quite high. I did get a mocha latte, hot, which was delicious, but also very expensive coming out to a total of about seven dollars or more. I guess that’s exactly what you expect nowadays when you go out anywhere, however, I miss the old days and maybe some of the diner settings that come off a bit more affordable to me. My wife got an Omelette and filled it with veggies under the build your own option. In retrospect, maybe selecting an omelette from the menu direct is a better choice considering that each item added was an up charge. Again, adding to the overall expense. Service Summary: As we arrived, we came in the back door and we’re greeted by everyone that works in the restaurant from the young lady, making crêpes to the gentleman making smoothies. When we reach the host to stand the young lady there greeted us and sat at a table, the staff was pleasant and the service was quick to our table for both coffee and food. Atmosphere summary: What I will say about the atmosphere is it’s very quintessential New England. An old style colonial building very drafty very eclectic and much in line with what you’d expect for a French restaurant based in New England. I only gave this a four out of five because I think they probably could’ve put on the heat just a little bit. These old drafty buildings in New England can be quite cold if there’s even so much as a brisk breeze outside. Overall, a very good experience, and next time we come back, we’ll probably look for more cost-effective options on the menu such as the crepes or maybe just a coffee and some baked goods. Definitely recommend if you’re traveling through or looking for a nice spot to settle in for a little bit.
